STRATEGIC SOURCING BUYER (LEVEL II)

Diamond Mowers is looking for someone to join our team as a Strategic Sourcing Buyer (Level II) this person would lead strategic sourcing initiative by identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers to support long-term business goals. Focuses on cost optimization, risk mitigation, and value creation through sourcing strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 3+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership.
  • Proven experience in supplier development, cost analysis, and negotiation.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Advanced ERP/MRP and data modeling experience (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key spending categories, including capital and service-related procurement.
  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure best-in-class pricing, terms, and contracts.
  • Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) and supplier risk assessments.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to improve competitiveness or reduce risk.
  • Partner with engineering and operations on new product development sourcing.
  • Monitor global market trends, commodity pricing, and regulatory impacts.
  • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and performance KPIs.
