Posting Date 12/24/2025 2000 16th Street, Denver, Colorado, 80202, United States of America The Procurement Category Manager oversees the entire DaVita Way of Procurement process for large global categories (typically >$25M spend, and up to $250M), from strategy development to execution. They set goals, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with field/regional counterparts for optimal strategy implementation. Hiring for the following categories: In Center Consumables (Multiple) Home Consumables Hospital Consumables Expected Outcomes Driven by the Teammate Savings, Innovation, improved quality and Service: Leading the entire category management process ensures optimized strategies, fostering efficiency and innovation in procurement practices. Yearly Savings targets will vary from $1.0 to $3.5M Creative Commercial Outcomes: Developing and executing effective "go to market" strategies facilitates successful negotiations, driving favorable commercial terms and value creation. Regular negotiations with VP, Director level at Suppliers Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborating across business units and regional teams fosters positive organizational outcomes, ensuring alignment and synergy in procurement efforts. Supplier Relationship Management: Leading supplier performance management processes enhance supplier relationships, fostering accountability and driving continuous improvement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop extensive market knowledge and a deep understanding of the assigned spend areas Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to extract key themes, determine root causes, develop creative solutions, and craft concise messages Collaborate with internal business partners, both clinical and technical, to understand demand and supplier trends. Builds effective relationships, influences peers and key stakeholders, and able to build consensus. Manage supplier relationships including developing supplier performance (KPIs), capability development, cost and quality improvements for key suppliers and product categories Identify and document supplier risk items to develop mitigation strategies and plans Monitor compliance with DaVita’s product formularies and ensure contract terms are being met Ability to balance multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously Other Duties as Assigned Education & Requirements Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of relevant SC/Procurement experience, or an MBA with background in contract analysis and negotiation. Experience in Finance, Operations and similar functions is applicable Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The position requires interaction with teammates in various departments and with supplier partners. Able to work independently to balance multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously Experience leading & executing RFPs and competitive bidding processes Excellent computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint & Word, ability to operate Tableau (building dashboards is not required but experience is valued) Personal values in line with DaVita’s values of Service Excellence, Integrity, Team, Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Fulfillment & Fun.
