Are you ready to make a lasting impact on the healthcare industry? We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Strategic Sourcing Lead to help us drive change and innovation. As part of the Sourcing team, you will be at the heart of Mediq’s transformation journey, ensuring we remain a competitive and differentiated leader in the European healthcare solutions market.
This role is pivotal in managing supplier partnerships and negotiating to secure a competitive product portfolio across the Nordics and Baltics. You will play a key role in optimizing our offerings in the Nutrition & Infusion categories, collaborating closely with Product Managers and the broader Sourcing team.
Location: Copenhagen, Gothenburg, or Helsinki

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As the Strategic Sourcing Lead, you will be responsible for driving Mediq’s competitive advantage in the Nordics & Baltics, developing and executing sourcing projects across multiple business units. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring continuous competitiveness through effective supplier management.
  • Leading the supplier negotiation pipeline to achieve cost reduction and align objectives across Group & regional sourcing.
  • Translating category strategies into actionable supplier cost optimization initiatives.
  • Managing negotiations with suppliers and executing tenders with a structured, fact-based approach.
  • Collaborating with business units to clarify specifications and expectations, ensuring alignment and successful execution.
  • Analyzing RFP/RFQ data and making data-driven decisions based on a pre-aligned criteria and scoring matrix.

To excel in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Strong expertise in Sourcing and Procurement, with the ability to understand and “read” the market.
  • Experience in complex negotiations and a strong understanding of P&L.
  • Skilled in analyzing data and driving negotiations based on insights and patterns.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic supplier relationships into long-term partnerships.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both within the team and across departments.
  • A highly energized, result-oriented mindset with a can-do attitude.
