YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team to execute sourcing strategies that support the global business line by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Each day, you will work closely with sales, operations, product line and finance teams to ensure alignment with different business needs. You will also showcase your expertise by building and implementing effective sourcing strategies and manage supplier volume allocation in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
We are looking for candidates preferably in Fornebu (Norway), Helsinki (Finland) or in a commuting distance.

This role is contributing to the business line Marine Systems globally and reports to the business line operations manager.

YOU WILL BE MAINLY ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

• Establishing clear governance structures for sourcing decisions, ensuring compliance with external and internal policies.
• Leading business line category management team globally to ensure seamless implementation of the sourcing strategies.
• Establishing frame agreements with major suppliers.
• Conducting detailed spend analysis, building and managing volume allocation strategies across global and regional suppliers, together with the category managers.
• Driving the cost structures and price trends analysis of all key categories together with the category managers to secure competitive and sustainable pricing for the business line execution teams.
• Ensuring relevant parties understand the sourcing strategies and execute procurement processes accordingly
• Implementing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery, in accordance with internal guidelines and global business line objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:

• You have a high level of personal responsibility and a hands-on mentality.
• You are passionate about improving the maturity of the procurement function and are able to influence internal stakeholders to support your targets.
• Degree in business or engineering.
• Have a demonstrated track record in international strategic sourcing, ideally in comparable industrial environment with complex low-volume products.
• You are at ease in negotiating with the suppliers and can demonstrate experience for successful negotiations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, other languages are an asset.
