Description

RMSpumptools is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager located in Aberdeen, UK. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for selecting, evaluating and managing international and domestic supplier partnerships to meet strategic business objectives for all RMSpumptools Divisions. They will work manage procurement processes and policies, and work with the procurement managers to understand short and long term needs to develop and manage the supply chain.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential, along with experience of LEAN procurement practices.
  • Experience within a global supply chain role(s), ideally within the Oil / Gas Industry, but not essential.
  • Be proactive, organised and able to handle work under uncertain environments
  • Ability to present, influence and collaborate at a leadership level
  • Ability to create, measure and analyse performance of suppliers using key performance indicators
  • You must be willing to work at various office locations across the UK and be willing to travel internationally to build relationships with suppliers and determine suitability of new suppliers
  • You will also be a people person with excellent communication skills to build and maintain strong professional relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply chain partners
  • You should be confident in negotiation to gain best commercial value for RMSpumptools, along with maximizing working capital efficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Develop the strategy for managing International and Domestic Supply partnerships to meet the strategic goals of the business
  • Work with key company stakeholders to determine their product and service needs to produce forecasts of expected demand for future parts against defined requirements.
  • Work with procurement managers to develop and manage company procurement policy
  • Work with Procurement Managers to manage Vendor selection, build vendor relationships, and manage vendor performance
  • Collect and interpret procurement data to conduct cost analysis, benchmark spend, and maximize return on investment
  • Drive productivity improvement through the global supply chain and develop Key Performance Indicators to meet goals
  • Establish stand-alone Supply Chain function in International subsidiaries so that they are self sufficient
  • Liaise with the Group Procurement Authority for strategic improvements and long-term planning with suppliers based on sales forecasts.
