JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible to assist with development, execution and maintenance of the Procurement strategy through the procurement of the most critical and complex materials, equipment, technology, and/or other goods and services.
  • Identifies new savings opportunities through research of spending patterns, review of overall expenditures and ongoing communication with all areas and levels of the organization.
  • Facilitates processes and negotiations to obtain the highest value in purchased goods and services in order to increase business line net profitability.
  • Consults with internal customers, vendors and other strategic sourcing staff and provides advice and guidance on the most efficient and effective procurement methods and contract negotiations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of procurement related experience

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive knowledge of purchasing, procurement, and contract administration
  • Well-developed financial and market analysis skills and experience
  • Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and operations
  • Basic understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services and regulatory trends that impact the assigned business line
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
