STRATEGIC SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - HEALTHCARE:

On behalf of our Healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Strategic Supply Chain Specialist - Healthcare for a 3-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Surrey office.

STRATEGIC SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - HEALTHCARE - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This client is engaging consulting services to develop a comprehensive provincial supply chain operations strategy and implementation roadmap that supports scalable, resilient operations aligned with a 5-10-year growth outlook. The project includes a full diagnostic review to identify operational gaps and opportunities, followed by provincial network optimization, strategy through data-driven modeling, and scenario planning.

STRATEGIC SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - HEALTHCARE - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Healthcare Supply Chain Experience, ideally in Canadian or public health systems
  • Expertise in Network Optimization, scenario modeling, and cost analysis
  • Proven Strategic Advisory Skills, including roadmap development and executive engagement
  • Relevant Credentials, such as SCMP, CSCP, or CPIM
  • Public Sector Knowledge, with familiarity in healthcare procurement and governance
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

STRATEGIC SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - HEALTHCARE – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Membership in organizations like Supply Chain Canada, ASCM, or NISCL
  • Experience with public sector governance
  • Familiarity with space capacity requirements
  • Experience with logistics efficiency improvement
  • Knowledge of inventory deployment strategies
Responsibilities
  • Conduct end-to-end diagnostic reviews of current operations
  • Identify gaps and opportunities across logistics, inventory, demand planning, structure, and cost
  • Optimize the network using scenario modeling for future distribution needs (5 - 10 Years)
  • Develop a sequenced implementation roadmap
  • Prepare a business case with ROI and timeframe for payback
