EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Education Bachelor's Degree Experience 5-7 years' experience in a hospital or multi-hospital system supply chain management, with a strong background in a clinical setting. 1 year of experience in management. Significant additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered. Licenses and Certifications (DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE Texas Preferred Education LVN or RN educational background. Experience Strong financial, Value Analysis, contracting and buyer experience. JOB DUTIES Promote and support standardization opportunities. Perform analyses and manage product/material conversions. Perform data analyses and model data while ensuring clinical needs are met. Participate in product standardization process, involving department mangers to determine their needs. Plan, coordinate and conduct product trails within the hospital in support of product conversion. Assist University Hospital staff members with product evaluations. Assist Purchasing Manager with manufacture and GPO sales representatives to assess emerging opportunities; as well as contract start-up functions involving appropriate department managers. Works with Customers/Physicians to develop VA Fors for the monthly VASC Meeting. Routinely meets with customers and reviews/analyzes items purchased. Understand customers operations and procurement needs and develops solutions Chair the Clinical Value Analysis Committee and participate on the Value Analysis Steering Committee. Work collaboratively within Materials Management team, Purchasing Services, Patient Supply and, Distribution Services. Other Duties as assigned.
