ABOUT YOU

As our ideal candidate, you will:

• be a young person who is curious and uses their lived experience to inform their work

• Provide support to the Communications and Engagement team on various projects, providing a strategic lens from young people’s perspective
• Develop internal processes to embed youth engagement and participation across the Commission
• Be instrumental in the Commission’s work to connect with more children and young people
• Oversee and participate in the planning, preparation and facilitation of Youth Council meetings
• Mentor and provide coaching and support to Youth Engagement Project Officers and Youth Council members
• Be a point of contact, coordination and support for Youth Council members
• Develop social media plans and content
• Organise, schedule and set up stakeholder meetings, including the preparation of materials and equipment when required (internal and external)
• Contribute to the preparation of project plans, briefings, presentations, reports, correspondence and presentations
• Actively contribute to the development of a positive and high-performing team culture, including identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork practices
• Assist with any other project issues and administrative tasks as required.
