Position Summary Responsible for assisting with market research knowledge to inform timely business decision and strategy development, influence new product development and decisions concerning the product life cycle—including emerging cryogenic piping technologies. Data analysis focused on trends in orders, sales, and profitability. Development of insights to improve customer segmentation, target market, product positioning and determining optimal business models. Supporting development of analysis for presentations for senior leadership. This role will also support the integration and market analysis of cryogenic systems, including Vacuum Jacketed Pipe (VJP), bayonet connections, cryogenic valves, and modular cryogenic assemblies, as Crane expands its footprint in clean energy, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, space launch, and aerospace sectors. www.craneco.com Main Duties: Analyze sales, operations, and financial data—including product line performance—to identify trends, variances, and actionable insights that inform business forecasting and strategic planning. Lead discussions with customers, sales, marketing, and cross-functional teams to gather input on orders, market dynamics, and product performance. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools to communicate insights to internal stakeholders and senior leadership. Conduct market research focused on cryogenic applications, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to support product positioning and growth strategies. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to support product lifecycle management, pricing strategies, and cost reduction initiatives. Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking to ensure alignment with business goals and operational efficiency. Maintain and enhance product configuration and inventory databases, reviewing business models and stock health to recommend optimization paths. Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at streamlining processes, improving customer experience, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. Essential Qualifications / Experience: Experience/Training/Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science. Knowledge of: Basic design and manufacturing principles, including cryogenic system design and installation best practices. Bills of Material, marketing and sales principles, methods and practices; applications and sales territories; technical product applications and documentation; especially for cryogenic valves, hoses and piping assemblies; customer service principles, practices and procedures. Skills: Proficient in computer usage and related software programs; confident with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office tools. Capable of leveraging data visualization platforms to analyze cryogenic system performance, cost trends, and operational metrics. Must possess strong writing and oral communication skills to prepare high-quality reports and present complex cryogenic concepts, product configurations, and market insights to customers and management in English. Ability to: Identify market and customer needs specific to cryogenic fluid handling and make recommendations for product selection, system design, and pricing strategies. Research pricing, shipping, and discounting terms and conditions by product line and account, particularly for cryogenic components requiring specialized packaging and transport. Exercise initiative in independently researching and resolving inquiries related to cryogenic system performance, installation, and maintenance. Prepare clear and concise business correspondence, including technical documentation and customer proposals. Organize, assign, and coordinate work to meet scheduled deadlines, including preparation of cryogenic system samples, test reports, and product demonstrations. Understand and follow written and verbal instructions related to cryogenic safety protocols and engineering standards. Communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers, departmental representatives, sales representatives, management, customers, and vendors across the cryogenics supply chain. Analyse data for trends in cryogenic product sales, operational efficiency, and market demand to develop and present insights to the leadership team. Special Requirements: May be required to travel up to 25% on company business to interact with customers.
