REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Innovation, Strategy, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business innovation, strategy, market analysis or digital transformation.
• Proven ability to lead successful innovation projects with measurable business impact.
• Strong expertise in Agile, Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, and Change Management methodologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive change in a dynamic business environment.
• Organize and ensure alignment of work-streams with long-term goals and business objectives
• Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, listening and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in automotive or supply chain operations.
• Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related fields are an advantage.
• Familiarity with digital transformation trends in manufacturing and supply chain management.
• Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, blockchain, or digital platforms is a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Strategy and Business Innovation Manager to lead the development and execution of innovative strategies within the supply chain sector of Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (TTAP). This role requires a strong understanding of industry trends, business model innovation, and operational efficiency, with a focus on delivering value to our key stakeholders in automotive business industry and supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement innovation strategies aligned with TTAP’s long-term vision.
• Provide insights into automotive industry, manufacturing operations, pain points, and supply chain challenges, driving operational improvements and new business development.
• Lead cross-functional innovation projects from ideation to execution.
• Apply Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive problem-solving and decision-making.
• Build and manage relationships with startups, research institutions, and industry experts to foster collaboration.
• Develop business cases, feasibility studies, and financial models for new initiatives.
• Oversee pilot programs and prototype development, assessing impact and scalability.
• Champion a culture of innovation through workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of innovation efforts.
• Stay informed on industry disruptions, emerging technologies, and best practices to anticipate future challenges.
