MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced university degree in business or public administration, finance, economics, development economics, international development or related fields.
  • Seven years of relevant experience in planning, monitoring and evaluation, financial analysis or business administration.
  • Working knowledge (proficiency - level C) of English and intermediate knowledge (intermediate proficiency - level B) of another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Work experience in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions, is desirable.
  • Extent and relevance of experience in collecting and analysing information from textual, database and human sources.
  • Demonstrated skills in conducting consultations and building consensus.
  • Extent and relevance of experience in strategic planning, results-based programming and budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
  • Extent and relevance of experience in the use of computer tools for analysis and communication.
