QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5–8 years of experience in management consulting or strategic roles within healthcare payers (e.g., strategy, operations, transformation, or enterprise PMO)
  • Strong understanding of payer domains including utilization management, provider operations, member engagement, or value-based care
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills with a strong eye for storytelling and structured problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with payer ecosystem, prior consulting at MBB/Big 4, or experience in vendor strategy and transformation
  • You must be proactive, curious, adaptable and able to move from insight to execution with speed and clarity

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MANAGER, STRATEGY & TRANSFORMATION:

  • Develop compelling business case and transformation vision for healthcare payors
  • Identify key payor transformational levers for efficiency and cost savings to define opportunities to invest
  • Lead transformation across payor functions such as utilization management, provider services, care coordination, and digital operations
  • Own the development of executive-facing presentations, strategy memos, and decision documents that drive alignment and action
  • Translate ambiguous goals into structured project plans, track milestones, and ensure accountability across teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, technology, and analytics teams to drive enterprise priorities forward
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and Excel-based modelling to support business case development, financial sizing, and KPI tracking
  • Bring industry context to every conversation - understanding the regulatory and business nuances of large payers
  • Mentor and coach associates and analysts, while rolling up your sleeves as needed to ensure execution
