Every day we help resolve disputes between consumers, or small businesses, and their financial service providers. What You’ll Do: As Strategy Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Financial Ombudsman Service’s strategic priorities. You’ll lead the development, implementation and evaluation of our organisational strategy, working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure our long-term objectives are met. Your work will involve facilitating strategy workshops, driving complex strategic projects, and producing key strategic communications, including board papers and contributions to annual and budget reports. You’ll also be responsible for co-ordinating internal and external research and analysis to inform our strategic direction, ensuring our strategic narrative is consistently reflected across corporate publications. Collaboration is central to this role, as you’ll engage with stakeholders across and beyond the organisation to support the definition and communication of our strategy and priorities. To be considered for this role, you’ll need to show us that you’ve got the skills and capabilities. You’ll have to meet the following minimum criteria: Minimum Criteria Proven experience in strategic planning, operational planning, or corporate strategy development within a complex organisation. Demonstrable track record of leading and delivering cross-functional projects or programmes, working with senior stakeholders. Experience preparing strategic board papers or similar corporate publications, showing ability to synthesise and present complex information. Proficiency in using strategic planning tools, software, and data analysis methods to support evidence-based decision-making. It would also be nice for you to have or What you’ll bring? Ability to cut through complex data and apply an analytical mindset to generate clear, actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and drive strategic recommendations forward. Effective project management and organisational abilities, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and within scope. A collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement, both internally and externally, to support the development and implementation of strategy.
