OPEN MINDS mission is to provide organizations serving these consumers with the market and management knowledge needed to improve their organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This position will directly support this mission by being an expert strategic advisor and consultant to clients in the areas of strategy development, performance management, financial analysis, operations management analysis, risk management, mergers and acquisitions and/or other accounting and financial related areas. More specifically, the incumbent will need to have high level of competency in creating budgets, service unit costing, service line pricing and analysis. The incumbent will serve as project manager for projects rooted around a financial competency and as a subject matter expert for other projects that have a smaller financial component. For projects assigned in the project manager capacity, the incumbent will need to manage both the internal and client project teams, as well as the project workplan to ensure efficient, high quality work. The incumbent must be able to timely and professionally communicate project status, problem solve with internal team, and manage the project relationships to facilitate a successful project engagement. Other responsibilities of the position include: Prepare customer-facing client deliverables for each client project. Serve as primary author of recommendations, incorporating analysis and input from subject matter experts and primary and secondary market research. Participate in business development activities including, but not limited to, proposal development and writing – with a focus on developing both new work and additional work with current clients of the practice. Prepare articles and other written materials for OPEN MINDS publications – with a focus on developing both new work and additional work with current clients of the practice. Prepare and deliver presentations, both virtually and in person, at OPEN MINDS and client educational and training events – with a focus on developing both new work and additional work with current clients of the practice. Track own billable hours across multiple projects and track and manage the billable hours of a total project. Other duties as assigned. Requirements 10+ years of healthcare knowledge and experience working with provider organizations; preferably in the health and human services industry Must be able to understand business challenges, assess client’s current situation, develop strategies and solutions, draft reports, prepare client presentations, present recommendations to the clients, etc. Experience creating budgets, calculating service unit costing, and conducting service line pricing and analyses Excellent writing and editing skills Expert Excel skills Proficient in other Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint Ability to read and interpret financial statements Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate verbally and in writing the status of client projects, as well as the ability to make presentations, in person and virtually Strong level of attention to detail in the accuracy, grammar, formatting, and other elements of successful client deliverables and client presentations. Visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Ability to travel overnight, unattended throughout the continental United States.
