We are looking for an innovative and highly driven strategy professional with a focus on data and business analysis to join the UK Strategy team and CEO Office.
This is a rare opportunity to work closely with UK & Lloyd’s CEO and leadership team and build your profile across AXA XL and AXA Group.

You will play a critical role in developing UK & Lloyd’s strategic priorities and goals, by:

  • Working with the UK Strategy team and UK&L leadership to co-ordinate and develop the short and medium -term strategic goals and priorities
  • Developing, and presenting to local/divisional leadership, bespoke reports to ensure that the UK & Lloyd’s business unit is on track to deliver financial/operational plan
  • Leading and supporting local and divisional strategic projects by ensuring that they align to business objectives and are commercially viable
  • Utilise both external and internal data to build insights that challenge commercial, operational and regulatory processes
  • Monitor UK/London market developments to identify trends and opportunities and benchmark UK & Lloyd’s performance against key competitors
  • Representing the UK and Lloyd’s on both internal and external initiatives, ensuring that the objectives and outcomes are aligned to the UK & Lloyd’s strategy.

The UK Strategy team leads the formation and execution of the UK/Lloyd’s strategic priorities as well aligning to and delivering on Global, Divisional and Market initiatives. It’s an agile and collaborative team, led by the UK & Lloyd’s Head of Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO, that leads and supports initiatives for profitable growth, improving regulatory oversight and operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Experience in the UK/London Insurance Market
  • Understanding of financial/underwriting performance and efficiency/productivity metrics
  • Demonstrable strategic mindset, with the ability influence and inspire
  • Robust presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to turn complex concepts into actionable recommendations
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
  • Experience in querying large, complex data sets. Excel skills - advantage
  • Experience working with data visualisation tools – advantage

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Lead and facilitate leadership strategy meetings for UK & Lloyd’s Leadership, e.g. monthly/quarterly commercial meeting
  • Lead or work collaboratively with the UK Strategy Team to manage and deliver local/divisional projects and initiatives
  • Create new and maintain (streamline) existing reports/tools to ensure we are executing on strategic initiatives and operational/regulatory priorities.
  • Analyse UK/London/Lloyd’s market data/reports to identify relevant trends/opportunities and provide competitor benchmarking. This will include building relationships/working with external institutions to source additional relevant data.
  • Represent UK and Lloyd’s business on internal and external committees/projects
  • Support the UK Strategy Team to maintain high standards for Group and Divisional reporting
  • Provide bespoke reporting and support to the UK & Lloyd’s CEO as required

You will report to the Head of Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO, UK& Lloyd’s.
