Position Summary Support sales and marketing efforts of Griffin Capital Company investment solutions across all financial intermediary channels. Manage and grow relationships with financial intermediaries and provide assistance to external territory partner in executing a sales and marketing strategy to meet territory goals. Involves one-on-one daily communication and group presentations with our selling group. Works closely with management and other team members to advance sales strategy, education and the positioning of Griffin's investment offerings. Duties and Responsibilities Build and manage relationships with financial intermediaries. Work in conjunction with the SVP, Wealth Solutions to support a territory business plan and sales strategy to effectively increase sales and improve territory penetration. Manage time and focus to ensure that Territory distribution plan is coordinated with external partner and being executed. Develop a deep understanding of Griffin's investment strategies to become a subject matter expert on each. Provide detailed information and ongoing updates on the features, benefits and advantages of Griffin investment solutions to financial intermediaries and their clients. Present Griffin Capital investment Solutions to financial intermediaries and their clients. Execute call and email campaigns to achieve firm’s strategic objectives. Thoughtfully position investment strategies consistent with direction from management. Cover meetings within territory, including occasional travel to handle 1-on-1 and group meetings in coordination with the SVP of Wealth Solutions (Territory Partner) as needed. Build and manage the territory calendar, rotation and ranking of advisors. Document all daily activities, such as calls, emails, follow up activity and campaigns in the CRM. Research and understand competitor offerings to identify sales strategies on where our solutions fit for clients. Research, review and maintain knowledge on the broader financial markets, commercial real estate and alternative investments. Work with the team to prepare presentations, white papers, and other marketing materials. Assist and resolve escalated client service issues when necessary. Adhere to all compliance/company guidelines and requirements. Requirements Qualifications and Skills Requirements Minimum three years of internal or external wholesaling or industry sales experience within a financial services firm. One to three years of relevant work experience in alternative investments. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. High sales acumen and the desire/ability to generate sales opportunities. Must be confident, persuasive, and credible over the phone and in person. High degree of proficiency in product, competition, industry, and Capital Markets knowledge, must be able to effectively communicate this knowledge with clients. Outstanding relationship management, influencing and interpersonal skills to build and maintain collaborative partnerships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with key partners as well as prepare and present sales materials, provide technical information regarding products and services, and develop sales presentations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook. High attention to detail and proficiency in CRM systems. Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Mapping Tool. SIE, Series 7 and 63 required. CFA, CAIA, CFP ideal, but not required. Ability to travel occasionally for meetings with Advisors.
