Overview Madison Energy Infrastructure (“MEI”) believes in the power of clean energy infrastructure and has quickly emerged as a preeminent developer, investor, asset owner, and operator of distributed generation. This role represents a critical next step in MEI’s evolution toward offering direct, end-to-end services to Fortune 500 corporates, public entities, nonprofits, and other private customers alike. As a Summer 2026 Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting high-impact initiatives within the Strategy team. This role is designed to provide meaningful exposure to the clean energy industry, real project ownership, and the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing organization. What you’ll do Work alongside the Strategy and Digital teams to translate business questions into clear, structured problem statements Support the alignment of strategic priorities with digital tools, data, and AI/automation initiatives Help document business requirements and track progress across digital and analytics projects Conduct research and analysis to support Madison’s growth strategy, operating model, and key business initiatives Synthesize market trends, industry developments, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic discussions Prepare materials, summaries, and presentations to support internal strategy projects and leadership decision making What we’re looking for Rising undergraduate junior or senior in the Class of 2027 or 2028 Strong interest in clean energy, infrastructure, finance, operations, or related fields Structured problem solver who can turn ambiguous questions into clear analyses and recommendations Analytical thinker comfortable synthesizing market insights and internal business needs Digital fluency and curiosity about how data, analytics, automation, and AI create value in real business processes Self-starter and owns workstreams, driving key initiatives Comfort working with data, including assessing data sources, identifying gaps, and supporting data driven workstreams Willingness to experiment, test ideas through lightweight prototypes, and iterate based on feedback Organized and proactive approach with the ability to track actions, maintain clear documentation, and keep workstreams moving Location & Schedule: This is a full-time (40 hours per week), hybrid internship based in our Tysons office. Interns will work four days per week in-office and one day remotely to maximize in-person collaboration and exposure to the business. The 10-week program runs from June 1 through August 7, 2026. Interns will participate in our all-company offsite on June 24, 2026 as part of their immersive experience. The office will be closed in observance of Juneteenth (June 19, 2026) and Independence Day (July 3, 2026). Commitment & Compensation: This is a paid internship. The hourly pay range for this role is $20–$40. Compensation within this range is determined based on factors including academic level (undergraduate vs. graduate), year in program, and relevant experience. Responsibilities
Interns will collaborate with Strategy and Digital teams to structure business questions, align strategic priorities with digital tools, and track progress on analytics projects.
