Job Title: Street Team Intern Reports to: Manager of Soccer in the Community Department: Community Relations Position Summary: FC Cincinnati is seeking highly motivated individuals interested in being a part of the FC Cincinnati Community Relations Team. The Street Team Intern role will attend community events working to expand the brand of FC Cincinnati connecting with various demographic groups. This internship consists of 10+ members working various fairs, festivals, community events, watch parties and parades including FC Cincinnati home matches and away matches. This intern will also serve as the liaison for Gary the Lion at community appearances in the Greater Cincinnati area. Along with the roles stated above, the intern will participate in FC Cincinnati Community Relations and FC Cincinnati Foundation internal events. This is a paid position on an hourly basis. What You’ll Do: Attend various community events, including fairs, festivals, parades, community events, and parades Work during FC Cincinnati home matches and away matches fulfilling any necessary needs of the Community Relations department, including, but not limited to: Mascot appearances Pre-match and halftime activities Giveaways assistance Away match watch parties Etc. Serve as liaison for Gary the Lion mascot appearances at community events, assisting with transportation and communication on the day of the event Set up and break down of marketing tent, table, inflatables, soccer activations during events Distribute marketing and informational materials such as paper schedules, giveaway items, and paper materials at community events Interact with fans by facilitating contests and promotions at community events Facilitate data capture through “Enter to Win” opportunities at community events Attend events hosted for the FC Cincinnati Foundation and through the Community Relations department as a volunteer supporting the success of the events Participate in various Community Relations projects supporting the goals of the department What You’ll Bring: Excellent work ethic Strong attention to detail Customer-service oriented Passionate about promoting FC Cincinnati Ability to speak both English and Spanish is a plus Ability to be a team player and enjoy working in a team environment Ability to interact and communicate with many different types of people and groups Energetic and outgoing personality and excellent interpersonal skills Soccer knowledge and experience preferred but not required What You’ll Need: Experience in marketing, communications, sporting events, promotions Ability to problem solve in a time sensitive manner Flexible schedule during season with availability weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays Availability to work for FC Cincinnati home and away matches Ability to think critically and outside the box Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program or recently graduated from an accredited university within 6 months Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the FCC game schedule and special events Ability to pass a background check and driving record check Why You'll Love FCC: FCC welcome gifts Resume and profile reviews Tour of TQL Stadium Discount off team store merchandise Community volunteer opportunities Job shadow opportunities Paid hourly and/or college credit opportunities Networking opportunities with Chamber events About FCC Founded in 2015, FC Cincinnati is a Major League Soccer team based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
