Description
Purpose Of Role: The Street Works Coroindator is responsible for overseeing all street works activities to ensure they are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA), local authority requirements, permit conditions, and company standards. This role ensures that all work sites are managed effectively, hazards are controlled, and that teams maintain high-quality workmanship and customer service. Key Responsibilities: · Ensure all works comply with NRSWA, HAUC guidance, permit conditions, and statutory requirements. · Conduct site audits, inspections, and safety reviews both onsite and via audits to ensure correct signing, lighting, and guarding are in place. · Monitor progress and resolve issues promptly to minimise disruption and delays. · Ensure permits, notices, and reinstatements are completed accurately and within required timeframes. · Oversee reinstatement quality, ensuring compliance with SROH standards. · Maintain accurate documentation and produce reports on site performance, safety, and compliance. · Support and participate in audits from local authorities or internal bodies. · Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, residents, and businesses to resolve issues or complaints. · Provide updates on works progress, delays, diversions, and mitigation measures. · Address performance concerns and contribute to workforce development. · Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and high-quality delivery. · Ensure NUAR is updated and correct after build completion Key Competencies/Behaviours: · Leadership and team coordination · Effective communication · Attention to detail and compliance focus · Safety-driven mindset · Planning and prioritisation · Customer-focused decision-making. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: · Valid NRSWA Supervisor qualification (Units S1, 10–16). · Strong understanding of NRSWA legislation, HAUC, SROH requirements, and permit schemes. · Proven experience supervising street works or similar operational environments. · Excellent knowledge of signing, lighting, and guarding standards. · Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. · Full UK driving licence.
