POSITION SUMMARY:

Testudo Logistics is seeking an outstanding Strength and Conditioning Specialist that will establish effective strength and conditioning programs that will support the physical performance, readiness and rehabilitation of the US Air Force Special Operations Command and Integrated Operational Support (IOS) programs at RAF Croughton.
You, as the Strength and Conditioning Specialist, will focus on building fighter pilot resiliency, enhancing human performance and improving mission effectiveness by developing and administering physical training protocols to improve musculoskeletal resilience and optimize Airmen physical fitness.

REQUIREMENTS:

US or Dual Citizenship required.
Certification(s) approved by a nationally recognized professional organization; e.g., National Strength and Conditioning Association, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); American College of Sports Medicine, Certified Exercise Physiologist (C-EP).
A Master’s Degree from an accredited university program in physical therapy, exercise science, exercise physiology, biomechanics, strength and conditioning, or related field is highly desirable.
Employee may be asked to pass a USAF physical fitness test (AFI 36-2905) at the relevant male/female standard.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
May be required to work extended hours or rotating shifts to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. May share on-call duty during weeknights and/or weekends on a rotational basis as required consistent with other health professionals of the same specialty performing similar duties.

Responsibilities
  • Observe and participate in squadron activities in order to identify physical and ergonomic stressors that increase risk of mission-related occupational injury.
  • Develop and implement fitness training and strength conditioning initiatives to mitigate those physical and ergonomic stressors and optimize airman performance.
  • Provide consultation, education, and training to military commanders and senior leaders, heads of physical training (PT) and medical staff on the subject of physical therapy, fitness and musculoskeletal injury prevention
  • Serve as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS).
