Team ARU operate within the Estates & Facilities service at ARU and are responsible for the provision of Sport and Physical Activity for Students, Staff and members of the local community. As part of this provision, we operate on-campus Sports Facilities including Helmore Gym on our Cambridge campus. Based at Helmore Gym, this is an exciting role which combines the delivery of strength and conditioning services to student-athletes with the supervision of the Helmore Gym as a Sports Facility.
With a Strength and Conditioning degree or equivalent qualification and recognised Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, you’ll have demonstrable experience of delivery S& C support to performance athletes as well as experience of supervising staff in a Sports / Fitness environment. As well as a passion for Sport, Health and Fitness, you’ll have a proactive approach to addressing challenges and seeking solutions and the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision. An understanding of performance sport environments and student Sport pathways is essential whilst previous experience of working with coaches, NGBs and performance sport practitioners is desirable.
