Job Summary: The Stress Technologist is responsible for performing cardiac stress testing under the supervision of a physician. This role ensures accurate test preparation, patient safety, and high-quality diagnostic data collection during treadmill and pharmacologic stress tests. The Stress Technologist will provide compassionate patient care while supporting cardiologists and the clinical team in delivering timely and accurate diagnostic results. Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for stress testing by explaining procedures, obtaining consent, and ensuring comfort and safety. Perform treadmill and pharmacologic stress tests in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and symptoms throughout the procedure, documenting findings accurately. Operate and maintain stress testing equipment, ensuring calibration and functionality. Assist in the administration of stress agents or medications as directed by the supervising physician. Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines. Document and report test results in the electronic health record (EHR) for physician review. Provide emergency response support if a patient experiences adverse reactions during testing. Collaborate with cardiology staff and providers to optimize workflow and patient care. Strong knowledge of EKG interpretation, cardiac anatomy, and pharmacologic stress protocols. Excellent patient care, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations. Work between Webster and Sugarland
