The Roadway Pavement Marking and Striping Laborer 2 is required to perform temporary and permanent pavement marking application. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway striping and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, company policies and procedures and safety guidelines. Essential Job Functions: Includes, but is not limited to, the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions may be required as deemed necessary by management personnel to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Assist the Machine Operator with Highway Marking operations Able to layout for handwork Able to install preform thermoplastic and standard thermoplastic using hand liners Operate various types of pavement marking equipment Able to operate a paint truck Able to read plans and complete layout for temp and permanent paint Able to make field repairs to paint truck Load and unload equipment and materials into and out of company trucks Stand and walk for extended periods of time during day or night shifts Assist with lane closures and set-up of traffic control devices Complete daily paperwork as required by supervisor Available to work days/nights/weekends Perform all other duties as assigned Desired Qualifications: 3-5 years of pavement marking and Traffic Control or related industry experience (i.e. Road Construction, Highway Maintenance, Construction) MOT Advanced certification What's In It For You? Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations Must maintain company standards post-employment for background checks, criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing
