OKC BGS (Boeing Global Services) is hiring for Senior- Stress Analysis Engineer to support Boeing Global Services for the Air Vehicle Analysis located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Primary platforms include KC-135, KC-46, KC-767, E-6.
As a Senior Structures Analysis Engineer, you possess a subject matter expert understanding of airplane structural analysis methods and tools for both metallic and/or composite structures. You will ensure the airplane has sufficient strength to endure all conditions encountered during its operational life. The analyst also ensures the airplane structure meets all other design requirements including fail-safety, durability and damage tolerance where applicable. You are an industry expert in Finite Element Modeling, particularly focusing on FEM development, manipulation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering degrees.
  • 10+ years related work experience in stress analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • KC-135 FEM development experience
  • 15+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, or HyperMesh).
  • ABET-accredited or equivalent engineering degree
  • Experience with Fatigue or Durability Analysis.
  • Experience with Composite Analysis
  • Experience in aerospace stress analysis.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE: $127,500 – $172,500

Responsibilities
  • Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design.
  • Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environment.
  • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
  • Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
