SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Should possess strong technical skills in bridge/structural design of steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and timber bridges or other structures
- Experience developing design reports, plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated and commitment to learning
- Excellent attention to detail
- Training and mentoring skills
- Effective and comfortable in a highly collaborative team environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred)
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of professional structural/transportation/bridge design experience
- EIT required.
- PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred.
- Successful completion of NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges training a plus
- Familiarity with structural modeling/engineering software is a plus
- Bentley MicroStation, Open Bridge and Open Roads, and ESRI GIS software experience a plus
The estimated hiring salary range for this position is $74,000-$100,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
