The expertise and enthusiasm of our people and professional, friendly atmosphere is paramount to our continued success.  To support our mission, we are currently seeking Cadet/Trainee Designers to join our Structural drafting team in our Brisbane office.  We are looking for someone with an interest in Structural design.  What does this role involve?  * With support, complete detailed 3D designs from rough sketches utilising the latest Autodesk Plant Design Suites  * Work within budgets and schedules and maintain project files within a paperless digital design office  * Work towards developing multidisciplinary skills and the completion of more complex designs  * Contribute to periodic reporting and regular maintenance of drafting priorities and systems  * Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management systems  * Develop an understanding of Sedgman standard specifications and current industry standards.    What are we looking for in our future team member?   * Completed minimum 1 year (Full time equivalent) of Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree in Engineering for non-trade qualified applicants  * Completed minimum 1 year (Full time equivalent) Certificate 4 in Engineering for engineering trade qualified applicants   * Previous experience in design / consultancy / operational environment highly regarded  * AutoCAD or Micro Station experience desirable  * Skills in MS Office suite  * Good mechanical aptitude and high attention to detail    What we can offer you:  We offer a great team environment with an opportunity to learn and develop over time. Responsibilities
The role involves creating detailed 3D designs from sketches using Autodesk Plant Design Suites while maintaining project files in a digital office. The designer will contribute to quality management systems and develop an understanding of industry and company standard specifications.
