We thrive on delivering construction-ready projects for municipal, commercial, residential, or industrial sectors. We provide commercial/residential site developments, linear infrastructure, steel, timber, concrete designs, coastal and marine engineering, and more. Cenlo is a local, independently owned, and operated firm serving clients throughout Algoma and Northern Ontario from our two Sault Ste. Marie, ON. locations to deliver quality, practical, cost-effective solutions in a timely manner. Cenlo also offers custom home and cottage designs in affiliation with Soo Mill Buildall. This affiliation allows us to work directly with owners, contractors, and product suppliers to bring client’s visions to fruition.
Cenlo Engineering is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join our team in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong Proficiency with AutoCAD is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of residential and light commercial engineering and construction related to civil/structural disciplines.
  • Must have relevant experience in Canada of at least 2 years.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other professionals and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Must be familiar with the relevant building codes and regulations in Ontario.
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required for occasional travel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A valid P.Eng. designation in Ontario, would be an strong asset.
  • Civil 3D and/or a Civil Engineering background would be an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Perform site investigations, inspections, and surveys.
  • Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, tenders, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications.
  • Complete, review, and approve deliverables.
  • Prepare AutoCAD drawings from sketches, mark-ups, and/or design notes.
  • Manage project tasks within assigned time and budget constraints.
  • Strong sense of initiative and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Complete projects independently when required.
  • Ability to work in a complex and fast-paced team environment, dealing with multiple projects and clients.
