À propos du poste
We are seeking a Structural Civil forensic engineer for our Claims Department to play a key role in supporting our growth. In an ongoing effort to better control claims management and improve the claims experience for policyholders, Intact is building a first-rate in-house team for the repairs and reconstruction of homes and small commercial buildings. You will be part of the technical investigation of the cause and origin team.
You will conduct forensic and structural assessments of residential and small commercial properties to determine the origin and cause of losses resulting in damage and evaluate structural damage from events such as water infiltration, construction defects, storms, floods, fires, or other incidents. You will prepare comprehensive reports for adjusters, outlining the origin and cause, damage assessments, repair recommendations, and code upgrade requirements. Develop detailed repair designs, including structural drawings, calculations, and specifications, in compliance with local building codes and standards as required. Perform site visits to monitor repair progress, verify compliance with designs, and address unforeseen circumstances. In addition, you will have to produce abridged and detailed reports in the event of more serious damages.
