Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Design & Stress Engineer to join our dynamic aerospace engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in the design, analysis, and certification of aircraft interior components such as stowages, galleys, and lavatories. Your expertise in stress analysis and structural evaluation will ensure our modifications meet stringent regulatory standards while optimizing for safety and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in stress analysis and structural design within the aerospace industry.
  • Proficient in FEA software and other structural analysis tools (e.g., NASTRAN, ANSYS, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of aircraft interior design and modification processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Experience with FAA certification processes (e.g., DER support, STC projects).
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks).
  • Prior involvement in aircraft retrofit or VIP interior modification projects.

  • Perform detailed stress analysis and structural evaluations of aircraft cabin interior components.
  • Design and validate structural modifications to interiors including galleys, lavatories, and stowage compartments.
  • Conduct testing and analysis to ensure designs comply with FAA regulations and industry safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain—to resolve technical challenges and improve design efficiency.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to support engineering reviews and certification processes.
  • Utilize advanced tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software to conduct complex structural analysis.
