JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking talented drafters/modelers with 2D and 3D experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural design and detailing, with proficiency in various software tools. This role involves creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for a wide range of projects, including structures found in industrial facilities in the metals, material handling, and chemical industries as well as buildings including offices, schools, medical facilities, residential, etc. The successful applicant will collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to bring concepts to life through innovative modeling techniques.

Entry-level drafters and designers will have the opportunity to be involved in every part of a project from concept to completion. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITIES

  • Experience and competency in Autodesk Suite programs including point cloud integration.
  • Strong understanding of CAD principles and construction methodologies.
  • Familiarity with detailing of structural building materials such as structural steel and reinforced concrete.
  • Experience in drafting and creating detailed schematics for various applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to perform physically demanding field work in harsh environments.
  • Eager to learn and grow in skill level, abilities, and experience in every aspect of the job.
  • Able to handle prescribed deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Willing to adjust to different types of projects and delegated tasks on a daily basis.
  • Good communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality drawings and models using Autodesk software such as AutoCAD 2D and 3D, Revit, Advance Steel, Plant 3D.
  • Create detailed schematics and drafting documentation to support project specifications.
  • Conduct field investigations of existing conditions and obtain as-built measurements.
  • Perform quality control checks on documents generated by other structural designers.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the modeling process.
  • Collaborate with team members on construction projects.
