Job Description We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to apply engineering and physical science principles, materials knowledge, and design tools in a collaborative environment. The engineer will develop, integrate, document, and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs, ensuring performance, functional adequacy, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Areas of focus may include primary and secondary structures, payload design, weight analysis, and lofting. Key Responsibilities: Develop and evaluate flight vehicle structural designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design, integration, documentation, and compliance. Apply metallic structural design expertise. Utilize CATIA and Boeing design processes; ENOVIA experience preferred. Support Boeing or Spirit commercial aircraft programs, with emphasis on primary structures. Contribute to product development, new design efforts, and post-delivery evaluations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; engineering degrees strongly preferred over drafter/technical designer backgrounds. Recent experience (within the last 10 years) on Boeing or Spirit commercial aircraft structures, particularly primary structures. Experience with primary/secondary structures, payloads, lofting, and weight analysis. Commercial OEM experience preferred (Boeing, Airbus, or Spirit AeroSystems). Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills. Only non-cleared candidates should be submitted. Submit candidates to the appropriate requisition based on experience level. Preferred: Broad experience in aerospace structures, product development, and new design. Proficiency with CATIA, ENOVIA, and Boeing design processes.
