AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Wichita, Kansas that is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defense platforms, and business/regional jets. With expertise in aluminum and advanced composite manufacturing solutions, the company’s core products include fuselages, integrated wings and wing components, pylons, and nacelles. The Structural Design Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, and evaluation of structural components and systems to ensure they are safe, functional, and cost-effective. Essential Job Functions: Apply knowledge of engineering and physical science principles, materials, and tools in a collaborative environment to develop, integrate, document and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs for performance, functional adequacy, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Areas of expertise may include primary and secondary structure design, payloads design, weights, and lofting.. Requirements Proficient with using Catia and Boeing design processes. ENOVIA experience Experience working on customer program / fuselage structures. Recent commercial structures experience (in the last 10 years) with primary structures experience Applicants with engineering degrees are strongly preferred over a drafter/tech product designer Commercial OEM experience. Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree.
