We’re Hiring: Structural Designer Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Build Your Career with a Trusted Regional Leader Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, is a leading provider of engineering, fabrication, and ship repair services for the oil & gas and marine sectors. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Designer to support engineering design activities and deliver accurate structural drawings and models for various projects. Key Responsibilities · Prepare detailed structural drawings including general arrangement (GA), fabrication drawings, and shop drawings. · Develop 2D and 3D structural models using design software (AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar). · Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and calculations to produce accurate drawings. · Coordinate with engineering, piping, and project teams to ensure design integration and constructability. · Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. · Generate material take-offs (MTO) and support procurement activities. · Incorporate design revisions and maintain version control of all drawings. · Perform clash checks and resolve design conflicts in coordination with other disciplines. · Provide support during fabrication and installation by clarifying design details. · Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely submission of deliverables. · Ensure adherence to company quality and HSE standards in all design activities. · Perform additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Lead Designer. Qualifications & Experience · Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering or related field. · Experience: Minimum 3–6 years of experience in structural design within oil & gas, marine, or EPC projects. · Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or equivalent. · Strong understanding of structural design, fabrication drawings, and industry standards. · Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. · Experience in 3D modeling and clash detection is an advantage. · Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. · Good communication and coordination skills. · Proficient in MS Office. · Fluency in English (mandatory).
