JOB SUMMARY

D.L. Engineering is seeking a Structural Designer, preferably with experience in Canadian low-rise wood framing. You’ll work on various residential projects including subdivisions, custom homes, and additions. This is a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented, technical, and looking to grow in a collaborative team environment.

• Perform structural design and calculations for low-rise residential buildings
• Review and stamp structural drawings per Ontario Building Code (Parts 9 & 4)
• Use WoodWorks Sizer and AutoCAD for design
• Design floor layouts, beams, lintels, tall walls, foundations, and footings
• Mark up drawings using Adobe Acrobat
• Conduct quality control checks on your own and team members’ work
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams
• Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
• Perform related duties as required
