QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential:

• Either a construction or BIM-related qualification (HNC/HND or similar) plus min. 3 years’ practical UK experience; or +5 years’ relevant Revit experience in a UK-based structural/civil consultancy.
• Experience in Revit-based Reinforced Concrete Modelling and Reinforcing Detailing.
• Experience in Revit-based Structural Steelwork Modelling / Detailing.
• Excellent communication skills, and experience collaborating with engineers on design solutions.
• Ability to produce accurate Revit models and structural drawings by interpreting engineering designs.
• Must be comfortable working independently and across multiple concurrent projects.

Desirable:

• Experience in producing Structural Steel Fabrication Drawings using Advance Steel or Tekla Structures.
• Experience on multidisciplinary UK engineering projects featuring Structural/Civil/MEP/Architecture.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
• Knowledge of general construction and engineering detailing.
• Understanding of the requirements of ISO19650 and other standards relating to BIM and digital design.
• Understanding of CDM 2015.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Radstock BA3 2B

Using your experience within the structural / civil engineering sector, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the engineering team by producing clearly communicated structural drawings and accurate digital modelling using Revit.
When necessary - visiting site to carry out site inspections for quality control purposes, or to assist engineers in surveying the site.
Assisting in developing departmental drawing/BIM standards and QA procedures associated with BIM.
Translating standard/proprietary manufacturer’s details onto working drawings and models.
Have excellent communication between the department and the wider construction team.
Ensure that company standards are adhered to at all times following the correct processes and procedures.
