Discipline Lead - Structural Engineering
Aarhus, Aalborg, Vejle, Esbjerg, Odense, Lyngby
Permanent
Hybrid
Do you want to work on complex Structural projects and impact buildings of the future? Can you ensure quality and good collaboration on projects and be an important sparring partner to your colleagues? And are you an experienced and adept structural engineer eager to be the voice of the structural discipline on multidisciplinary projects? Then, join our Structural Engineering department in Denmark, where we provide innovative and sustainable solutions that shape the buildings of the future!

SHAPE A FUTURE WHERE PEOPLE AND SOCIETIES GROW AND FLOURISH

We are looking for Structural Discipline Leads to join our offices in Aarhus, Aalborg, Vejle, Esbjerg, Odense, and Lyngby to contribute with expert knowledge in structural engineering. We are dedicated to meeting the growing demand for complicated designed and sustainable buildings, and at our core, we champion sustainable and visionary solutions. We are working alongside our customers on some of Denmark’s most significant projects in construction as well as several spectacular projects abroad, such as the expansion of Copenhagen Airport and INCUBA Next.
Based in one of the abovementioned offices, you will be part of Buildings & Industry, together with about 1050 dedicated employees working on a large variety of projects in the construction industry in Denmark and abroad. Buildings & Industry also includes our skilled colleagues from Arkitema, with whom we work closely together on many of our projects.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Represent the structural discipline on multidisciplinary projects
  • Build and maintain good relationships supporting collaboration between projects parties
  • Support and motivate your colleagues on projects and be an important sparring partner
  • Ensure quality and progress on construction projects
  • Design of structures for new buildings and renovation projects.

YOUR SKILLS. OUR TEAM. TOGETHER WE DESIGN THE FUTURE.

The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. You should take up the leadership role for your structural team and set the direction for the structural team. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will have:

  • Degree in structural engineering with experience as a consulting structural engineer.
  • Skilled in design, specification, monitoring, and supervision of construction projects, including structural documentation compliant with SBi 271 and BR18.
  • In-depth knowledge of norms, legislation, and preparation of tender documents, technical documentation, and descriptions.
  • Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English; certification as a structural engineer is advantageous, with support available for obtaining it.

If you are a certified structural engineer this is also a plus, but not a demand for your role as Structural Discipline Lead. We are eager to become more certified structural engineers in COWI, and we will support you in the approval process.
