STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

This isn’t your typical design desk job. As a Structural Engineer with a focus on forensics and restoration, you’ll dig deep into the causes of building failures, whether it’s a collapsed roof, cracked foundation, or fire-damaged structure. You’ll play detective and designer, uncovering what went wrong and crafting smart, practical solutions to make things right again.

• Investigate structural failures, foundation movement, water infiltration, fire damage, and other performance issues.
• Conduct field inspections and site evaluations, and gather evidence using visual assessments, testing, and analysis tools.
• Model structural systems and analyze performance using software like RISA, ANSYS, or equivalent.
• Collaborate with architects, legal teams, contractors, and insurers to develop repair strategies or support litigation.
• Write clear, concise engineering reports and occasionally present findings as a witness.
• Contribute to restoration designs, construction quality assurance, and commissioning for buildings of all types and ages.
