Job Description
AECOM are seeking a Structural Engineer specializing in construction supervision, to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing structural aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on construction supervision overseeing high rise or residential villas.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi and the Middle East

Responsibilities
  • Review and approve structural designs, drawings, and specifications for construction projects
  • Conduct on-site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to approved plans
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues
  • Perform structural calculations and analysis to verify the integrity of building components
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Prepare and review technical reports, including structural assessments and site visit reports
  • Manage and coordinate with construction teams to maintain project schedules and quality standards
  • Identify potential structural issues and develop appropriate solutions
  • Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on structural matters
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in structural engineering
