JOB SUMMARY:

Alliance Structural Engineers, located in Reston, VA, is looking for a recent engineering graduate, or an engineer with up to 1-4 years of experience. We design a variety of structures throughout the east coast. We specialize in single family houses, apartment and condominiums, and mixed-used developments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Uses design software and drawing tools to accurately render and communicate designs.
• Design foundations, floor, and roof framing members
• Sets design based on local jurisdiction of the building
• Collaborates with architects and clients to ensure projects progress properly.
• Work under a Project Manager

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks throughout the work week
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to be both creative and analytical.
• Detail-oriented and accurate.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or BAE required
• EIT Certification (preferred)

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to occasionally travel to various project sites.
• Must be able to navigate job sites and construction areas.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
