Description

They are not just structural engineers, but developers of the optimal solution. They approach structural analysis iteratively: load assumptions, profile geometry, pile design, and material usage are varied by them until technically sound and economically optimal systems are created.

Her main areas of focus:

  1. Static design & verification
  • Static calculation and dimensioning of driven piles, screw piles and other foundation types, substructures (steel), modular table systems for ground-mounted PV systems
  • Preparation of verifiable static analyses according to Eurocodes (EN 1990 ff.), National Annexes (DIN)
  • Application of common standards in the steel and thin-wall sector (e.g. EN 1993, EN 1090)
  1. Load assumptions & soil conditions – as optimization levers
  • Determination and assessment of snow, wind and dead loads, seismic effects, subsoil and soil properties
  • Interpretation of geotechnical reports and derivation of static boundary conditions
  • Determination of pile lengths, spans, embedment depths and safety concepts
  • Critical examination of assumptions regarding the reduction of materials and costs
