Description
Responsible for the analysis, design, and documentation of structural systems for a variety of building and infrastructure projects. Work includes coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, preparation of construction documents, and technical support through design and construction. Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design for concrete, structural steel, and masonry systems Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and design calculations Develop structural solutions for buildings, foundations, retaining walls, and site structures Coordinate structural designs with civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines Review construction submittals and shop drawings for technical compliance Assist with construction-phase support, including responses to RFIs and site observations Support quality assurance and quality control processes Work on multiple projects concurrently while maintaining schedule and quality standards Assist with project coordination tasks including schedule tracking and budget support Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting Prepare written and oral project status updates for internal teams and clients Participate in technical reviews, coordination meetings, and workshops Maintain and expand technical knowledge through continuing education #zr Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program Minimum of 1 year of structural design engineering experience Knowledge of structural design for concrete, masonry, and structural steel systems Familiarity with applicable building codes and material standards Basic knowledge of finite element modeling using plate and frame elements Understanding of multi-discipline design coordination practices Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook Strong technical problem-solving and critical thinking skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure within 24 months Preferred Qualifications Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation Structural Engineer (SE) registration or intent to pursue SE licensure 100% coverage of health benefits including Medical and Dental with optional family and/or dependent enrollment paid by employee at a group rate 50% company contribution towards Vision coverage Tuition reimbursement (up to $5,250 per year) 401(k) matching program: company match 100% of your deferrals up to 3% of your compensation, plus 50% of your deferrals over 3% not exceeding 5% of your compensation 100% employer paid Short-Term Disability with employee buy up options 100% employer paid Life Insurance Coverage with employee buy up options Paid parental leave Holiday pay Sick pay Paid vacations Possible year-end bonuses based on performance and tenure Company computer Relocation and Sign on Bonuses may apply
