Overview ABOUT THE POSITION Structural Bridge Engineer/Project Manager | Hybrid | Bedford, NH VHB is seeking a Structural Engineer/Project Manager to join the dynamic and growing Structures group in our Bedford, NH office. In this position, you would support the planning, analysis, design, and detailing of bridge and other transportation related structural projects, as well as helping to lead and mentor our technical staff. Learn more about our Structures practice at VHB: Bridges & Structures | VHB Our New England Structures team is looking for a Structural Engineer to work on complex transportation projects across the VHB footprint. Work on major bridge and other complex transportation projects Provide technical support/mentorship to junior structural engineering staff Perform oversight of engineering design for bridges and other transportation infrastructure Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, estimates and calculation. Perform quality reviews of project construction documents, engineering reports, etc. Skills and Attributes Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation experience Must possess strong project management and technical skills Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Familiarity with bridge design and detailing (steel, concrete, prestressed concrete) and seismic analysis Familiarity with structural engineering software (AASHTOware, LARSA 4D, MDX, midas Bridge, Mathcad, etc.) Qualifications 5-8 years of experience in Bridge/Transportation projects in New England B.S. Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred) (1-2 years may be substituted for a master’s degree) Master’s degree a plus PE license, or ability to achieve in the next 6 months. We are VHB!
