We are looking for a motivated Structural Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join the team. You’ll help design, analyze, inspect, and repair a variety of public buildings and infrastructure using materials like concrete, steel, masonry, and wood. This role offers hands-on involvement in both new construction and renovation projects, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as you grow.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 2 to 5 years of structural engineering experience (public sector work is a plus)
  • Knowledge of structural design standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, etc.)
  • Familiar with structural design software and CAD/BIM tools
  • EIT/PE is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Job site visits, site walks, ability to be client facing

Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design using software (such as STAAD, RAM, or RISA) as well as hand calculations.
  • Create structural plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates for public and municipal projects.
  • Conduct field inspections and assess existing structures for safety and condition.
  • Help develop practical, cost-effective design solutions for repairs and upgrades.
  • Work closely with architects, civil and mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparing bid documents and supporting construction administration tasks.
  • Make sure designs meet applicable codes and standards (like IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.).
  • Write engineering reports and technical summaries.
  • Support special inspections and on-site structural evaluations as needed.
