SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred to have Technical Electives completed to have included a focus on structural streel, reinforced concrete, and reinforced masonry
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings
• Have an interest in building design including layout of primary and secondary framing systems
• Ability to work in a professional environment
• Experience working on more than one project at any given time, under supervision and support by others
• Experience with REVIT and AutoCAD
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new software and client needs
• Willing to obtain a knowledge of current building and material design codes
• Able to work independently and also collaboratively on a team
• Able to learn and perform in a professional environment where it is required to meet QA/QC guidelines
• Occasionally visiting project sites
• Good communication skills

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required
• Have taken and passed, or qualified to sit, for Intern Engineer (IE) Exam
