Our client, a top integrated architectural and engineering firm in Buffalo, NY, is looking to add a Structural Engineer to its team!

SALARY RANGE BASED ON EXPERIENCE: $40-$55/HR

The Structural Engineer in this role will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the structural systems of diverse building projects, from cutting-edge new construction to transformative renovations. You’ll work closely with architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure projects are structurally sound, code-compliant, and aligned with client objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience in building design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, or similar), and MS Office.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural codes and standards (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE).
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and construction materials, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Prepare construction documents, specifications, and detailed drawings.
  • Conduct field surveys and inspections to assess existing structural conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural solutions seamlessly into overall project designs.
  • Provide support during construction administration, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.
