Position Summary As a new member of our engineering team, you will be part of our central office working on a wide range of projects nationwide. We are seeking an entery level Structural Project Engineer to help our Company grow. Responsibilities Manage consultant engineering design professionals and provide engineering oversight. Lead the review of engineering and construction documents. Research cutting edge digital building technology and help to develop best practices for new technology. Utilize software such as Revit to produce three-dimensional building models; supervise and review work of models provided by others. Help to establish modeling standards and best practices in software such as Revit. Perform site visits on an as needed basis. Analyze design requirements, specifications, and performance requirements. Interface/coordinate with other professional disciplines. Manage fees, scope and schedule requirements. Responsible for the technical accuracy and completeness of engineering documentation. Undertake constructability analyses and reviews. Support sustainability objectives, methods and technologies. Prepare material takeoffs and estimates for use in design processes Requirements BS degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university. Professional Engineering registration preferred. Experience in residential design and construction. Proficient in modeling software such as Revit. Proficiency with codes and standards relevant to engineering design and building construction as well as material specific design codes. Sustainability methods and technologies experience. High degree of competence and understanding of building materials, techniques and processes. Previous quantity surveying and estimating experience preferred. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proactive in addressing problem issues, presenting and implementing solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. High level of written and verbal communication skills.
