QUALIFICATIONS
- B.Sc/M.Sc degree in naval architecture, structural engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of structural engineering of ships or marine structures
- Experience using relevant industry software tools, such as AutoCAD, NAPA Steel, Class rule check software, Sesam/Genie etc.
- Knowledge of class rules and international ship building standards
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Proficiency in Scandinavian language is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for talented structural engineers and senior structural engineers to strengthen our team. The successful candidates will join a dedicated team of structural engineers, with unique possibilities to work with projects from concept development to final product – Shipbuilding A to Z.
- Lead projects and manage teams within structural discipline.
- Prepare plans and schedules for undertaking engineering work.
- Perform structural calculations of ships or marine structures.
- Solve technical issues and implement solutions.
- Support designers with input and calculations during the concept-phase
- Collaborate with Class societies on design approvals.
- Stay up to date on relevant Class-rules and industry standards.
