Job Description

  • Design of the following equipment per project-specific design specifications and industry-recognized codes as well as the following relevant processes:
  • Offshore and subsea structures.
  • Seafastening of structures.
  • Design of Installation Aids & Ancillary Equipment.
  • Capable of working as Package Responsible Engineer to provide product support and supervision during manufacturing process, often in person at the Supplier facility.
  • Assist as required for vessels mobilization & offshore operations.
  • Estimate and manage project budget across different departments during project execution.
  • Responsible for product documentation required for procurement, fabrication, and installation (Design reports and drawings) including:
  • 3D models and drawings of single components and assemblies.
  • Verification of design using hand calculations and FEA.
  • Define Geometrical Product Specifications.
  • Check interfaces including performing the tolerance stack-up studies.
  • Design Reports to include product design justification.
  • Review technical documentation including 3rd party documentation verification.
  • Perform Product Design Reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cooperate with the assigned project team and other cross-functional teams to agree on the design solutions.
  • Product expertise in the expertise area including advice on fabrication of design.
  • Give inputs to project engineering documentation, project budget, and schedule.
  • Provide design input in technical meetings with Clients, Suppliers and other 3rd parties.

You are meant for this job if:

  • BSc/MSc degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanics, Machine Design, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or similar).
  • Good communication skills to discuss aspects of the design with the stakeholders.
  • Capable of solving technical issues.
  • Analytical skills (experience in FEA software) is an asset.
