Job Description AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineering/EIT for the Structural Group within our Transportation team based in Markham, Ontario. This is a newly created position. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Working within the (Structural) Design group on the design of bridges, retaining walls, an other transportation infrastructure Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidiscipline design engineers, technicians and planners Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assist with tasks including preparing engineering related calculations, drawings, and visual aids Following corporate quality procedures Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Must be completing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Midas, STAAD, RISA3D, and SAP2000) Relevant internship or professional work experience in support of transportation design Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities and interpersonal skills Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, Microsoft Project, and standard office software Excellent verbal and written communication skills Additional Information Sponsorship assistance not provided Relocation assistance not provided About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
